My Role
For more than 23 years, I have specialized in childbirth and birth injury cases, analyzing medical records and working with doctors, nurses, midwives, delivery teams, and medical experts to understand why things sometimes go wrong during labor and delivery.
Today, I use those lessons to educate and empower expecting families. I am the author of A Parent’s Guide to a Safer Childbirth, founder of the Safer Childbirth Community, and host of The Childbirth Attorney Podcast. My work focuses on helping families become more informed, prepared, and confident before entering the delivery room.
Gina’s approved profile supports her 23+ years of childbirth case experience, book, podcast, and Safer Childbirth work.
What I love most about my role
What I love most is being able to take what I have learned from more than two decades of difficult childbirth cases and turn it into information that can help families before they ever face a crisis.
For years, my work often began after something had gone wrong. Today, I also have the opportunity to reach parents earlier and give them knowledge they can use to become more informed, ask better questions, and prepare for one of the most important days of their lives.
How I define success
Success means using what I have learned to make a meaningful difference in other people’s lives.
Professionally, that means doing work with purpose, continuing to learn, and turning experience into something useful for others. Personally, it means knowing that the work I put into the world can help families feel more informed and prepared during such an important moment in their lives.
The best piece of business advice I ever received was
This is a personal-history question and Gina’s approved information does not tell us what advice she has actually received.
What would I tell my younger self
This also needs Gina’s personal confirmation. A strong suggested answer is:
Trust what you learn through experience and do not underestimate how valuable that knowledge can become to other people. Some of the hardest work you do today may eventually give you the insight to make someone else’s path easier tomorrow.
What 2B Bolder mean to me
To me, being bolder means being willing to use your experience and your voice to create change.
It means not keeping valuable lessons to yourself simply because the path is unconventional. Sometimes being bold is speaking up, sometimes it is asking better questions, and sometimes it is taking everything you have learned throughout your career and using it in a new way to help others.
Years of Experience
23+ years Gina’s approved profile states that she has worked in childbirth cases for more than 23 years.
