My Role
I am in charge of long term vision and planning, and setting clear expectations while delegating out the benchmarks to my staff.
What I love most about my role
I find that talking to people about what they do, listening to what questions they have and finding a solution to their problem is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy watching my staff grow within themselves as well as my company, we’re all learning as we navigate this journey!
How I define success
Success for me personally is a balanced trifecta of being able to do the things I like to do, while learning and staying challenged, and being able to make enough money to have all my basic needs met.
The best piece of business advice I ever received was
Raise your prices! In the service based world, almost everybody starts too low.
What would I tell my younger self
I would definitely share the best business advice I've received to date with my younger self: Raise your prices!
What 2B Bolder mean to me
Sometimes the boldest thing you can do is recognize that you don't have to break down barriers by yourself. Be a friend, raise other women up, we’re all in this together and it's not a competition.
Years of Experience
25 years in the trades and service industry. 10 years in education. 6 years of running a business.
I recommend you focus on developing these 3 skills to succeed in a role like mine
1. Systems organization
2. Breaking down complex business ideas into simple, accessible pieces
3. Finding common ground between two wildly different points of view
