My Role
Hi I am Tanya, I oversee strategy in our Marketing Department, Pre-sales, PR, and Design Teams, and since we are a startup I take those tasks seriously, jumping in hands-on with important clients and challenges to make sure we grow as a team.
What I love most about my role
I love that my job is different everyday. I can be working on an animation with the design team in the morning, and in the afternoon pitching to a client with our product team. Since we are a growing startup, I get to work a lot with my co-workers hands-on and we can solve problems lightning-fast.
How I define success
Success is when I come home and I am proud of myself for always learning and always putting a 100% on the table even when it's a bad day. We have to enjoy the process of life and the challenges faced in our industry pushes me to make our solution better each day in hope that we can help everyday processes for the people around us.
The best piece of business advice I ever received was
Well this actually came from my ballet teacher, Maria Vegh, a very strict Hungarian lady, who told me when I was 11 years old that I was stubborn, yet that she would be more stubborn than I am in order to make me a better dancer. I think this really transformed the way I approach challenges. Challenges can be a pain, but be "stubborn" enough to fix them and produce a high quality product. Worked for me.
What would I tell my younger self
Advice to younger self? Take some time to enjoy life too and don't let the failures make you feel disheartened, life is long and you're just getting started.

2B Bolder is a platform that I wish I had when I was 16, lost and confused with what to do in life, lacking female inspiration in tech and business, and wondering what to do next in my career. Previously only having male mentors in my career, this platform definitely brought me some perspective and a sense of safety with "virtual" colleagues.
