My Role

Originally, my role at Occams Advisory was forging new client relationships and nurturing existing ones. That evolved into doing the same for affiliate partners, cultivating new partnerships and acquiring new ones. Leading corporate communication, cultivating community partnerships and engagement, meeting new friends and colleagues who are on the same mission - helping small businesses flourish!

My focus is on delivering value to both businesses and entrepreneurs by leveraging my experience and insights from working across various industries with business consulting. My role involves leadership in affiliate partner acquisition and management, where I contribute to the growth and success of Occams by building strong meaningful partnerships.

What I love most about my role

I most appreciate partnering with professionals who value building long-term relationships, who know what it means to truly be a resource for their clients.

I genuinely have a passion for knowing what it takes to build relationships for a business to grow and drive excellence. I love to have a meaningful purpose to help others and my role with Occams Advisory allows me to do just that!

How I define success

This is a difficult question for me… we all know that success is subjective, it means different things to everyone.

When I was a kid, I thought success was to be rich and famous so I could have my own bed to sleep in with a dresser filled with clothes, and a fridge with lots of food to eat - maybe then I would fit in. Sounds simple and quite humbling, but that was my reality at a young age.

As I got older, I thought success was measured in my career title and salary or what car I drove and where I lived. Particularly, how I wanted or hoped that people would view me as successful.

However, now, my view has changed significantly. I realized that when I lay my head down at night in my very comfy bed, I ask myself did I do everything that I possibly could to do the right thing today? By my family? Within my career? My relationships? Are my kids safe, healthy and happy? Did I work smart today? When I am able to confirm these things with confidence, that would be my definition of success..

I often reflect on my Grandmother who raised me, as she would say, “do the best you can and you’ll be alright.” I used to want so badly for her to say something much more profound and life changing. But as simple as it was, even all these years later, that was all that I needed to hear.

Do the best you can

Let’s be honest, there are some days that the best we can do is simply get out of bed and we have to know that is ok sometimes. For me, in this chapter of my life, success has evolved to being the best I can be today while being loved, valued and heard..

The best piece of business advice I ever received was

Listen. Be a lifelong learner - to be an effective leader, you must be a receptive student. It shouldn’t be most important to you to be the smartest person in the room.

and never stop moving forward.

What would I tell my younger self

BE FEARLESS and courageous - you matter
It’s in your challenges and the depths of adversity that you will become stronger
NEVER lose faith - you will make a difference

What 2B Bolder mean to me

Being newly introduced to 2B Bolder, I immediately thought as I conducted my research as I always do, could this possibly be the place that allows women professionals to be fearless, courageous, vulnerable AND human all in one place? Is this where we can inspire and make a difference, with women uplifting women? 2B Bolder sounds like this is all that and more! I am thrilled to be a part of the change I wish to see.
