My Role

I am a 20-year tech recruiter turned founder and career coach of Peak State coaching where I support women and WoC in Tech level up and show up authentically in their tech| UX| Product careers. My passion is helping women tap into their strengths as their strategic advantage, optimize their confidence for career and business presence, and support them with negotiating compensation worthy of their accomplishments.

What I love most about my role

I absolutely love seeing women thrive in their careers - when they uncover what's already within them, and have that aha moment of clarity that changes everything for them. I also really love when I can help people negotiate a salary they didn't think was possible. Connecting and learning from others also really fills my cup.

How I define success

When I can feel grateful for the experiences that have gotten me to where I am right now and experience the joy of it. I also identify success as the empowerment of the people I'm privileged to work with because it can cause a ripple effect for others around them.

The best piece of business advice I ever received was

Your network is your net-worth - Community and network is everything. You don't have to go it alone, even if that means having to "pay to play". That network can be the difference of you getting into rooms you didn't have access to. And in my experience, people are more often willing to support and connect with you than you think they are (and if they can't, they might know someone who is).

What would I tell my younger self

Invest your money even more by paying yourself first, and to GO CONFIDENTLY and not hold back or stay quiet with ideas or suggestions.

What 2B Bolder mean to me

Do the thing, even if it's scary. Now.

I recommend you focus on developing these 3 skills to succeed in a role like mine
