My Role

I am Founder and CEO of Chavender. I help women leaders move from #2 to #1 in work and life. I run the executive coaching and group coaching part of the business. I am also responsible for sales, marketing decisions, and finance.

What I love most about my role

I love being an entrepreneur! I love creating new programs, driving business, being able to step in and make changes to my business, and not having to ask permission from anyone. As I evolve, the business evolves alongside me.

How I define success

I define success as having a succession of great days in a row. I want to feel energized and curious about my day. I want to be doing things that fuel me, rather than things that suck my energy. I want to feel like I am making a meaningful contribution to the world. And I want to put money into my bank account for my family.

The best piece of business advice I ever received was

Marketing is not just about marketing “the thing.” It’s also about the anticipation of “the thing,” the look and feel of “the thing” and the energy you personally bring to selling “the thing.”

What would I tell my younger self

Stop worrying so much! You are burning yourself out and expending energy on things you cannot control. But to be honest, I am not sure I would have listened. When you are younger and hungry for success and impact, you sacrifice so much: time with your family, time to yourself. You think you need to be everywhere. I wish I could have seen back then that everything will happen on its own timeline. That is not to say I wouldn’t have hustled for the business, but I might have been more thoughtful about how much energy I put towards things.

What 2B Bolder mean to me

2B Bolder means loving who you are, strengths and weaknesses equally. It’s about owning your own bold invitations for more in your life. It is about liking the way you operate in the world, and how you take care of the people around you. When you love yourself, and your style, it is easy to be bold, and step outside your comfort zone.

Years of Experience

17 years as a consultant. 6 years as an executive coach.

I recommend you focus on developing these 3 skills to succeed in a role like mine

1. Leadership Development
2. Executive Coaching
3. Nonprofit Organizations
